Wonderful words about my new album PEOPLE LIKE US.

“If you’re not yet familiar with the talented Norwegian artist and singer-songwriter Paulin Voss, we encourage you to discover her new album, ‘People Like Us.’ It’s a work that will make the hearts of all fans of handcrafted, authentic, and honest guitar music beat faster. We were particularly impressed by the warm country and Americana influences, which give the whole thing a pleasant Western feel on an acoustic basis.

The compositions impress not only with catchy melodies and runs, but also with creative lyrics and well-thought-out harmonies. The 12 tracks will transport you to a completely different place within the next half hour. The focus of the album is her unmistakable voice, which sounds both delicate and expressive, emotional and sweet at the same time. She creates fabulous, goosebump-inducing moments, as well as tense and gently melodic passages that inspire dreams.

The impressive polyphonic sung parts also immediately caught our attention. Especially in combination with the wooden sound of the guitar, a captivating atmosphere is created that not only feels very personal, but also conveys road trip vibes and wonderfully enhances the summer feeling. At the same time, a spark of melancholy permeates one or two songs, and you’ll quickly notice how dynamic the album truly is.

If you like ‘People Like Us,’ it’s definitely worth keeping up to date with other new releases by Paulin Voss on Spotify. Incidentally, the album features arguably the most beautiful version of ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ – an absolutely brilliant reinterpretation that you shouldn’t miss!”

Alle pengene som kommer inn går til vinyl opptrykk!

Jeg har så innmari lyst til å trykke opp 200 eks av mitt kommende album “People Like Us” på vinyl (Release Juni 2025). Albumet er inspirert av Americana genren og gamle helter som Crosby, Stills & Nash. Mange av låtene har flerstemt vokal, cello, gitar, pedal steel og preges av varm akustisk lyd helt uten autotune på noe som helst. Albumet er såkalt lavbudsjett , men det er nesten umulig å lage et album med profesjonelle folk uten å bruke godt over 100.000 kr og nå er dessverre alt jeg har klart å spare opp gått med til dette. Blir du med på Spleisen? Jeg tar imot små og store bidrag med like stor takk og lager noen spesielle signerte album som jeg kan levere personlig hvis du bor på østlandet. Kanskje vil du også ha en konsert i stua di med signering av albumet?
